Turn that frown upside down!

Marionette Line Treatment:

What you need to know

Marionette Lines are the lines running downwards from the corners of the mouth that appear with age. This can create the appearance of a ‘sad mouth’ and a grumpy resting facial expression.

At GILD Clinic our ethos is happy & healthy first, ‘beautify’ second. Looking well and projecting the best of how you feel is a real confidence boost. So, we prioritise treating skin conditions and ageing changes that create a sad, tired or unhealthy appearance over other cosmetic treatments.  That’s why marionette line dermal filler is one of our favourite treatments – it can quite literally turn a frown upside down!

What causes them?

These lines appear when the face sags with age due to fat and bone structure changes that are part of the natural ageing process.

How do you treat them?

They can be treated in two ways: either directly by smoothing them out with a small amount of dermal filler placed underneath the fold, or if the line is deeper, indirectly by using a larger amount of dermal filler to lift the face back to its youthful positioning (Liquid Lift).

How long does it last?

Filler in this area typically lasts between 6 and 9 months.

How much does it cost?

£150 in our training clinics and £300 in our private clinics.
